A heat pump boiler works much more efficiently and saves more energy than a traditional heating system based on fossil fuels. With Altherma, 1kW of electricity consumption generates 3 kW to 5 kW of free heat. As a result, the CO2 emissions generated for your heating can be reduced by up to 57%*, compared to a traditional combustion based fuel boiler or by 28% compared to a condensing gas boiler.
Altherma can be used to provide hot water to showers (via storage tank), air-handling units, fan coils, under floor heating and radiators.

How does it work?
The Altherma heat pump system extracts low grade thermal energy (at ambient temperature) from the environment (heat freely available in outside air), upgrades the heat to a higher temperature and releases it into the water running through your central heating system with low temperature radiators, under floor heating system or fan coil units.
